Being More Efficient June 23, 2006

While freelancing, I’ve come to find that your schedule is completely up to you. That’s obvious. Having a loose schedule isn’t always a good thing though; you get to decide if you want to work on a project or go read some news… which I happen fall into a lot :). But today I had a great idea.

Get a watch and set it so you can only get five minutes to do this. Now (this may be a huge leap of faith) DELETE ALL YOUR BOOKMARKS. Start the clock. In five minutes, input every bookmark you feel is most important, or the sites most relevant to you.

Now, go through an entire day and you can only see those sites. No clicking out of them either.

I tried this today. And I feel sooooooooooo efficient! It feels good.

Well, I’m off to a party or something… Peace!
